Local Leagues take shape
Postwar organizing established local Leagues in Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Havre, Helena, and Missoula.
First state convention
The first Montana state convention was held in Butte, establishing the statewide organization and its program of study and action.
Constitutional reform
League members studied, organized, and advocated for a modern state constitution. Nine of the nineteen women delegates to the 1972 Constitutional Convention were League members.

LWV Montana continues voter service, public policy study, local observation, civic education, and nonpartisan advocacy.
