"Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism is a renowned institution named after the influential architect Ion Mincu. Born in Focsani, he studied at the National School of Fine Arts and later became a prominent figure in promoting the neo-Romanian architectural style.
Alumni of one of the top universities in Romania. I was lucky enough to have great tutors such as Mario Kuibus and Dorin Stefan which contributed to my early development as an architecture professional.

Daca as putea sa dau 0 stele as face-o, pentru ca asta sigur nu este un institut de invatamant, este doar o parodie a ceea ce ar trebui sa fie.(Translated by Google)I used to be on the interior department. I was extremely happy when I entered this faculty in 2019, I especially worked very hard to enter, because I dreamed of being an interior designer. However, all these dreams were destroyed after a few months of studies, where little by little I realized that we are simply punching bags for teachers.A college where, unfortunately, many of the teachers, especially the elderly, have many untreated mental problems that burden the students. You will be greeted with a smile on your face and laughter at your address (I'm not kidding, I wish I did).If you enter this college, humiliation will be the appetizer, nervous breakdowns the main course, and the dessert will be only regret. It is tragic that we allow these things to happen, especially since there is no consequence for the teachers who tear up drawings in front of the students, who make fun of the students and who contradict themselves from hour to hour, constantly changing the requirements, constantly upsetting the student . The teacher can change the requirements at will, although they were set at the beginning. The time allocated to teaching is also constantly changed, most of the project you change all the time anyway because the teacher keeps changing the project requirements/adding/removing requirements. When you go, for example, to the dean responsible for your department, to at least talk to the teacher who doesn't teach you anything/humiliates you in front of the class, he/she will shrug your shoulders, saying that nothing can be done, because the dances are in age and have nothing else to work for.Let's not talk to the secretariat, where you are redirected through the entire Old Center, with unclear and rushed instructions, with the secretaries who constantly talk passive-aggressively, as if you have done something to them.Unfortunately, the conditions are not the best even for the dances, which is the fault of the administration.Unfortunately, this is the education in our country, in general. Go abroad, it's an experience 10 times more relaxed and productive and maybe even cheaper in some situations. They should be ashamed, but as long as their salary comes and there are no consequences, they don't really care. If I could give 0 stars I would, because this is certainly not an educational institute, it is just a parody of what it should be.

Architect (graduate of the Faculty of architecture)UAUIM is an old university with both qualified and questionable teachers. I got here and the problems are persisting: poor WIFI quality and a lot of useless courses. Moreover, in years 5 and 6 students still have courses fixed by the faculty *they are not allowed to choose a pack of courses which meets their interest. If you are just visiting the area, this university has some public spaces where you can rest.

The professors here are corrupt. If you want good grades you’re required to bribe them. They demand gifts such as McDonalds, cigarettes, coffee, lunch money, pay off for better test scores.... and more. The diploma takes 6 years to complete and then you have to be an apprentice for 3 more years after that. The decision to attend this school is terrible. There are far better alternatives in other countries. Also the diploma is pretty much useless out of Romania, so if you’re planning on working abroad then don’t bother with this school. Do your own research before making the choice. Call big firms in other countries and ask them if they recognize Romanian diplomas and you’ll see for yourself it’s useless.

Wanted to go to the museum but got lost and ended up here instead. I was pleasently surprised by an exhibition on the inside and I saw a little cat. When I asked the door man about the museum, he didn't reply, but I assume that was a language problem.I do have to say though that for a faculty it does look rather depressing.

One of the places where all hope and joy goes to die after a long, self-imposed, convalescent exile.I've yet to meet a happy graduate (or non-graduate!) of this horrid pathway to self-mutilation.Academically, this is an institution that still teaches about how to use asbestos in construction work, which means that it's pretty modern compared to the national average.

Pe mine m-a lasat in lacrimi aceasta constatare. Este posibil ca facultatea sa le ceara prea multi bani pe chirie, nu cumva sa lase chiria mai mica pentru o cantina, astfel studentii tai sa manance la preturi reduse. facultatea de drept cum a reusit asta si noi nu?faina facultatea <3(Translated by Google)those who gave 5 stars and praise, were they paid by the faculty or cv? What is admirable about this faculty? Yes, the old body is fine, the building is worth appreciating, but if you dare to go deeper you will discover an inner courtyard full of garbage.I'm a student here, year 3, I've already seen things. From the 3rd floor up, there are cracks where you can put your hand in them. The workshop rooms are horrible, worse than in high school. I spent 2 years in a workshop (this is the custom, 2 years with a teacher). I started with 3 sockets. after a year there were 2 left. now there is one left. Old benches, horrible chairs. Next time I will review the disc herniation on the faculty benches, I recommend it if you want too.BAILEEE. soap is given with the ration. once a semester. After the first week you only wash with water, good luck, I don't know how it is with girls.Winter is cold, but I suppose we can forgive that, no, old construction, formidable, huge cracks, it is justified.Teachers: when I think about this subject, from the beginning an image comes to my mind: communist period, party member, university member. this ensures you a fairly good life in that regime, with benefits that exceeded your life itself, if you want a kind of small party nobility. 1989 happened and they lost more. Now only that dream remains, what could have been, true symbols of power, whose words are absolute. The teachers from Mincu very often forget that we live in a democracy, and even though they are above us on this hierarchical scale, they forget that we too are mature people who deserve respect. Until now, 30% of the teachers I interacted with were decent, even to be appreciated. the rest were very arrogant, arrogant, manipulative, corrupt, they insult you to your face, they tell you that you have to leave, if you become a favorite you stay put under the boot, thus fulfilling their orders, don't have personal opinions because you are still stupid. In classes, years in a row, not only now, they fall into stupidity. the weight is about 50% in ALL COURSES, sometimes even more. do you want to tell me that every year there are 250 fools and 250 smart people? so many years in a row? Anyway, the students from Mincu know what they are talking about, exams with minimal effort in writing, otherwise correction. One of the teachers started during the exam, when I was in the last 10 minutes, to rant about how he loses his life correcting exams. he was so angry that he started doing math, calculating his hours, and came to the following conclusion: Our poor teacher, Tibi Florescu, is wasting 10 days of his life correcting our exams. This observation left me in tears. It seems that the money from the state budget, collected from our taxes, which he calls salary, is not enough.I could keep commenting. teachers who swear at us, tell us that they will kill themselves if we show them the check again (our projects are deplorable to understand), rivalries between teachers, teachers who go after students, teachers who finish correcting the works after the deadline for paying the balance for the respective subject (you don't know if you passed or not, if you have to pay or not to take the exam), all kinds of tricks by which they make money for us, the students. A colleague lost his medical scholarship, being too well-twisted through the secretarial fingers, thus the faculty saved some money. other students paid the full price per credit for a grade increase (the outstanding price per credit is 100 lei, for an increase it is 50) no one notified them that they made a mistake.if I have to comment on one aspect, it would be the canteen on the premises. I prefer to eat at a restaurant in the area because that's all the money. the prices are too high for a canteen. The question is why? well, I may know the answer. It is possible that the faculty asks them too much money for rent, why not leave the rent lower for a canteen, so that your students can eat at reduced prices. how did the law school manage to do this and we didn't?great college <3
